Yoga asana is far more than a workout or a means to get a "good stretch." It is a living practice where you can break old paradigms, release what no longer serves you, and come home to yourself.
Your body is a sacred vessel.
Through alignment based hatha yoga and somatic movement, minor aches and pains are released, strength and flexibility are built, and your nervous system becomes regulated.
Soma is where yoga becomes asana and movement creates meaning.
Julie's online classes and in-person workshops are grounded in proven alignment principles that increase safety, efficacy, and longevity. When done under her guidance, asana and somatic movement transcend from a weekly or daily practice to become a habit that you enjoy for decades.
Your body is a reflection of your truth.
Your body is a divine gift. Your body's deepest desire is to lovingly carry you through this life. Your body is loved as it is and excited about what it can become.
Your cells carry memory. Your cells carry wisdom. Your cells carry the story of what you have survived, and the possibility of what you can become.
Through loving self-talk, alignment-based movement, sacred breathing (pranayama), and nervous system awareness, asana helps you rebuild your relationship with your body from a place of love and compassion.

Your body, no matter its size, age, or current state of health is a gift.
Your body can gain flexibility. Your body can gain strength. Your body can gain resilience. Your body can be free of pain. Your body has the ability to heal.
Your body holds your history.
Your body endures years of stress that you minimized. It endures the grief you swallowed. It endures the rage you masked with politeness. Your survival strategies once protected you but new strategies are needed so that you can thrive.
Soma is the pathway back.
In this work, your body is not treated as separate from your spirit, your creativity, or your calling. It is the place where all of it converges.
By regulating your nervous system, strengthening your body, and learning to listen deeply to sensation, you begin the journey from fragmentation to integration.
